fiftytwo: velma? really?
so, i have had something on my mind for the past couple of days. on wednesday, i was told by several of my coworkers that i look like velma from the scooby doo cartoons. apparently, this has been something that has been going around the office in the past few weeks. i must say, this hurts my ego a little bit, but i suppose there are worse cartoon characters i could look like...shrek, for instance.

I actually kind of agree with your co-workers. I think they are a very perceptive bunch. Are you familiar with Velma? (She does have the most unfortunate name, however: Velma Dinkley..hehe)
She is the most intelligent character in the cartoon show-- I know that does not say much, but she is often the one who solves the mystery, and if I'm not mistaken, has a firm grasp of Chinese and Japanese, Ms. Victoria PEI Martin.
There is also something very sexy about her glasses and nerdiness. As Rahm Emmanuel says about Obama's new man on the budget (Peter R. Orszag) "He's made nerdy sexy." Hehe..
So,embrace it, my dear ;)
